Centre for Applied Research and Engagement in Social Care (CARE-SC)

The CARE-SC is committed to:

  • Conducting rigorous, applied, interdisciplinary research in social care, to advance the field in areas of expertise including:
    • safeguarding children and families
    • transitions from care to adulthood
    • relational wellbeing
    • addictions and related issues
  • advancing the use of co-production, participatory and creative methods to engage those with lived experience in the design and delivery of research to promote social justice
  • knowledge-exchange, including fostering dialogue between those with lived experience and research, policy and practice communities to inform legislative changes, statutory guidance, service transformation and workforce development.
