Description
The CreaTech project is a partnership between several European organisations from Albania, Kosovo, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and UK. CreaTech aims to establish a distributed innovation ecosystem to foster entrepreneurship and innovation within the cultural and creative industries (CCIs) across Europe, with a focus on the Mediterranean area. The initiative will promote the CCIs contribution to the digital, green and social transformations through enhanced collaboration with industry, research institutions and cultural stakeholders. The key objectives: 1.Strengthen the capacity of HEIs to support cultural innovation through tailored training and mentorship for HEI staff, fostering institutional change and entrepreneurship. 2.Equip students and participants with the essential entrepreneurial skills and tools for business development. 3.Enhance collaboration and knowledge exchange among HEIs, start-ups, and stakeholders in the creative industries through development of an online digital platform. 4.Implement a start-up booster program to help cultural start-ups transform ideas into viable businesses and scale their operations effectively. The CreaTech vision: 1. Institutional capacity building: HEIs will adopt the innovative frameworks, tools, and methodologies to institutionalise entrepreneurship and innovation. 2. Collaborative ecosystems: CreaTech will foster partnerships with CCI organisations, businesses, and research institutions to enable knowledge exchange and co-creation in line with the EIT Knowledge Triangle, enhancing HEIs’ impact, strengthening cross-sectoral synergies, and addressing fragmentation and funding challenges. Through systemic change in how HEIs engage with the CCIs, CreaTech is expected to create positive outcomes: by 2030, its ecosystem aims to establish a new generation of creative entrepreneurs and start-ups, producing market-ready innovations that address societal challenges.
