Description

BEACON is an International Writing Workshops / ISPF ODA project focused on strengthening research capacity in Jordan around women’s entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, digital innovation and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystems. The project combines online workshops, an in-person launch and bootcamp in Jordan, mentoring, policy-oriented dissemination and collaborative manuscript development.

This project helps researchers in Jordan develop better research, writing and publication skills so they can produce useful evidence on women’s entrepreneurship, AI and digital innovation. It supports early-career researchers through workshops, mentoring and research teams, with the longer-term aim of improving inclusion, policy relevance and international collaboration.

Key Findings

The project has delivered 9 workshops so far, including online sessions, the Jordan launch event and an in-person bootcamp, providing more than 30 hours of structured research training. Four collaborative research teams have been formed and are developing applied papers on AI, entrepreneurship and digital innovation in Jordan. Early findings are emerging through research design, data collection and analysis, but no academic publications have yet been produced, which is aligned with the project timeline.
