Dr Ameema Miftha is a dedicated Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Bedfordshire with over 8 years of Teaching experience. She has a strong foundation in both teaching and research. With a PhD focused on cyberstalking, her research has made significant contributions to understanding this complex issue from social, legal, and technological perspectives. Her doctoral work provides an in-depth analysis of cyberstalking's impact on victims within varying socio-cultural contexts, with a particular focus on Indian society. Through her research, she has explored the role of legal frameworks and technological solutions, By drawing insightful cross-cultural comparisons, Ameema suggested regulatory measures grounded in Stamper’s semiotic framework, thereby providing a globally relevant approach to cybercrime prevention.

Ameema’s academic portfolio is further distinguished by her role as a Research Associate at Bournemouth University, where she contributed to an Innovate UK-funded project in Artificial Intelligence. In this role, she conducted a rigorous evaluation of state-of-the-art AI models for image classification and object detection, with applications tailored for an image-sharing platform. Her work in this capacity underscores her adeptness in data analysis, qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and AI-driven project design, as well as her skill in producing actionable insights that bridge academic research with real-world technological solutions.
