Abstract

While the use of multiple languages in English language classrooms in South Asian contexts is not a new phenomenon, the recent shift in focus towards examining this practice from a translanguaging perspective (Anderson & Lightfoot, 2018; Sah & Kubota, 2022) is a novel and intriguing development.
