Data protection and privacy determinants of e-government adoption in Nigeria

Abstract

The global recurring news about data scandals, the sale of customer data and revealing employee records intensify concerns of citizens over protecting their privacy and personal data. This paper aims to systematically review literatures and discuss how data protection and privacy influences e-government adoption in Nigeria. Based on an extensive review of literature the paper provides a structured empirical findings and theoretical perspectives relating to impact of data protection and privacy on e-government adoption.
