Abstract

In this paper, a technique to evaluate the statistical distribution of incident waves on a GPS antenna is proposed. The proposed model makes use of the well developed parameters of MEG and AoA alongwith the new parameter of the coverage efficiency. The proposed technique employs a uniform distribution of the incident waves both in azimuth and in elevation in a semi-spherical environment, taking into account the ground reflections and RHCP effect by modifying the XPR. The model is first of its kind to analyze the performance of a GPS antenna working in a multipath environment.
