Description
The aim of this project is to improve access to general practice for people from ethnic minority communities and older people living in areas of high deprivation in Luton. Using a community engagement approach called 'Talk, Listen, Change' we will identify barriers and facilitators that shape access and make recommendations to improve access to general practice.
Layman's description
We want to make it easier for people from ethnic minority communities and older people, living in poorer areas of Luton, to access GP services. Using a community approach called 'Talk, Listen, Change', we will speak with residents and people involved in community and healthcare services, such as GPs and voluntary organisations, to understand what makes it easier or harder to get GP care. We will use what people tell us to suggest ways to improve access to GP services in Luton and similar areas.
