Personal profile
Research interests
My interdisciplinary and applied research provides evidence for reducing health inequalities focusing on social determinants of health and their impacts on variations in health outcomes, as well as how these affect the experience of access to health and social care services. The focus of my research is reducing the gap that exists among groups, communities, and larger populations across the life course by influencing policy, design and delivery of inclusive and responsive services, locally, nationally and internationally. My research uses qualitative research methodology to engage with diverse communities and involve low socioeconomic groups, ethnic minorities, low- and middle-income countries, and hard-to-reach groups.
