Biography
Dr Danai Korre is a distinguished computer science researcher with over a decade of expertise in various domains, including data science, augmented and mixed reality, educational technology, user experience research, and conversational artificial intelligence. She holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence Applications from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in Design and Digital Media from the same institution.
Dr Korre has an extensive track record of leading and participating in a number of EU and domestic-funded projects. She has also developed strong collaboration links with universities, research institutes, and industrial partners. Her professional background includes serving as a Knowledge Exchange Fellow at the University of Strathclyde and as an Associate Lecturer in Data Science at the University of Edinburgh. Additionally, she has made significant contributions as an Augmented Reality Lead at EdAR experiences, a start-up she co-founded following a €530k EIT Digital project.
Dr Korre has a commendable track record of successfully leading projects from inception to fruition, driving innovation, and consistently delivering impactful results. In addition, she has assumed the significant roles of chair, program committee member and reviewer editor for various esteemed journals and conferences. In addition to her research, she is actively engaged in promoting women in STEM, and participating in open source software activities.
