Biography

Dr. Chamitha De Alwis is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer Science & Technology, Faculty of Creative Arts, Technologies & Science at the University of Bedfordshire. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (SMIEEE) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Dr. De Alwis is also ranked among the Top 2% of the world’s most highly cited scientists, according to the annual Stanford University ranking (Elsevier data). He also provides consultancy services and conducts research in cutting-edge areas such as AI Security, Cybersecurity, Network Security, 5G/6G technologies, and Blockchain. He has successfully secured numerous competitive research grants and actively contributes to several high-impact research projects. He holds a B.Sc. in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering with First Class Honors from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK.
