The CARE-SC is committed to:
- Conducting rigorous, applied, interdisciplinary research in social care, to advance the field in areas of expertise including:
- safeguarding children and families
- transitions from care to adulthood
- relational wellbeing
- addictions and related issues
- advancing the use of co-production, participatory and creative methods to engage those with lived experience in the design and delivery of research to promote social justice
- knowledge-exchange, including fostering dialogue between those with lived experience and research, policy and practice communities to inform legislative changes, statutory guidance, service transformation and workforce development.
